The Rehabilitation Centre for Children in Winnipeg is a former Shriner's Hospital with a world renowned reputation for dealing with child amputees, specializing in Myoelectric and Sports Prosthesis. During Paul's time in Winnipeg, he volunteered for Help the Aged (Canada) and traveled yearly for 3 1/2 weeks to St. Kitts, West Indies, to assist with the St. Kitts/Nevis Orthopedic Program at the J.N. Frances Hospital.

Paul is active in the national prosthetic associations. He has served as Secretary Treasurer for both CBCPO (Canadian Board of Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists and CAPO (Canadian Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists) and was instrumental in the amalgamation of these 2 associations into the current association OPC (Orthotics Prosthetics Canada). Paul continues to be active on the national level by volunteering as Candidate Liaison for the certification exams.
